| Rhinocort is used to treat allergic conditions of the nose (for example, rhinitis, which includes hayfever and allergy to house dust mites or animals), sinusitis and nasal polyps, which are small growths in the nose. |

| Budesonide is a type of medicine called a steroid (of the glucocorticosteroid type) which reduces inflammation in your nose, thus relieving symptoms of nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, and itchiness. An improvement in nasal allergy symptoms may be seen within 24 hours of starting treatment, maximum benefit generally takes two weeks to achieve. |

Rhinocort is supplied as an aqueous nasal spray (Rhinocort Aqua), nasal dry powder inhaler (Rhinocort Turbuhaler) or pressurised metered dose inhaler (Rhinocort pMDI). - Patients should use Rhinocort at regular intervals since its effectiveness depends on regular use.
- You must learn how to use the spray properly, ask your doctor for guidance.
- The corticosteroid in Rhinocort is not the same as the anabolic steroids that some athletes and body builders use to build muscle, these steroids work differently.
