What is Nezeril® ?
Nezeril contains the decongestant substance oxymetazoline hydrochloride, an alpha adrenergic agonist.

What is Nezeril® used for?
Nezeril is used to treat rhinitis (inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nose), sinusitis (inflammation of a sinus) and nasal congestion causing nutritional difficulties in infants.

How does Nezeril® work?
  • Nezeril binds to specific sites (receptors) on the nasal blood vessels and causes them to constrict or narrow.

  • Constriction of the blood vessels in the nose and sinuses leads to drainage of excess fluid that has gathered in the area and a decrease in congestion.

  • Nezeril has a rapid onset of action and provides prolonged nasal decongestion.
